Change Catalyst

My work is committed to being a positive catalyst for change for your department, division or company. Whether you are preparing to make a change, in the middle of a change or know a big change is required - I am the guide for you

Change is inevitable and constant in the agile, interconnected and interdependent economy we find ourselves in today. My expertise is in how to design, implement and/or correct the change process with greater efficiency, improved interest and enthusiasm from your stakeholders while building change development expertise in you and in your leadership team.

Does your change effort suffer from:

  • Reluctance from employees to get on board with the change by clinging onto the past.
  • Starts and stops with no forward momentum due to unclear drivers of change and overall change objectives.
  • Missteps due to not accurately assessing the political, cultural and emotional impacts of the change.
  • Unclear change governance and decision-making style and protocols.
  • Change fatigue where no one believes this next change is serious.

There are three important legs of the business stool that must be in place to ensure a solid and stable platform. The first is having a vision/mission and strategy for where you want to take your company, division or department. This is leadership. The second and often under utilized skill is converting the vision into a solid well-thought out plan. Is the vision of the change achievable?  Is it realistic?  Do we have the capacity and readiness to be successful?  This is development. And the third is competently managing the execution of the plan and course correcting along the way. This is management.  Leadership without development and management is wishful thinking and pie in the sky.  Development and management without a vision can be dry, lifeless and uninspiring. When your company harnesses the power of all three- unprecedented breakthroughs in your change initiatives will occur.

My expertise is in the development and translation of the Desired Future into a realistic and achievable plan; the formation, training and guidance of your change management team to execute the plan and the eyes and ears to avoid and eliminate the obstacles to success.

"Three types of change exist today in our business environments: A. Developmental Change: an improvement of what is; new state is a prescribed enhancement of the old state. B. Transitional Change: New state solves an old state problem; requires management of the transition process to dismantle the old state while putting in place the new state.. C. Transformational Change:  Market requirements force fundamental changes in strategy, operations and worldview: 1. New State is Unknown; New State requires shift in mindset, organizing principles, behavior and culture."
