Many teams formulate as a talented group of unique individuals and when faced with finding ways to peacefully work together find themselves stuck and frustrated. Unique personalities are often put in a box and labeled a "jerk" through gossip and sabotage. Greed for power and influence often divide the cohesive whole into infighting and blame-games. Whenever I found 'mischief' it always resulted from the following four elements: Team's not recognizing the underlying/unseen dynamics when challenges surface; Teams not feeling safe to say what they really think; Teams not keeping their word and doing what they say; Teams not seeing both the negative and positive impact of what they do.  In addition most teams today are spending too much time covering up mistakes, putting off actions that would resolve the situation, hiding their faults and sweeping interpersonal issues under the rug.  If your team feels safe, relaxed and supported to address these issues head on, a higher level of productivity, innovation and collaboration will be possible.
